Marc Yaffee is a gifted writer and performer blazing his way across the standup comedy scene. With an original but relatable comedy style, Marc’s material has a universal appeal that has been a hit with corporate, casino and club audiences alike. Marc careens across the comedy landscape leaving a trail of laughs that is both edgy and funny without being dirty. Adopted at birth and confused ever since, Marc takes his audiences on a comedy joyride as he explores his multi-ethnic roots and the culture clashes that fill his world. Born in East L.A., Marc was adopted at birth by a Mexican mother and a Jewish father. As a young adult, contacted by his birth mother, Marc learned of his Mexican-Irish-Navajo heritage (“I’m a Mexi-jo”) that would inspire much of his standup.
A former writer for George Carlin, Marc has toured five times entertaining U.S. Troops overseas. His national radio credits include NPR’s Weekend America, Sirius XM Radio and multiple appearances on the Bob & Tom Show. His club credits include Catch A Rising Star, The Ice House, The Laugh Factory and The Improv. Marc has performed at both the Boston and Las Vegas Comedy Festivals; has appeared on PBS and on numerous TV shows including Loco Comedy Jam, Latino Laugh Festival, Que Locos, and Comics Unleashed. He is Co-Star of the Pow Wow Comedy Jam from the Showtime special “Goin’ Native: The American Indian Comedy Slam”.
