Honest, Hilarious, Fearless, and Fierce
Hello Boys…I’m Back! was recorded in front of a live audience at the The Comedy Underground in Seattle, Washington. Hello Boys…I’m Back! is a tour through Julia’s extravagant life, full of cheeky double-and-triple entendres that has the audience rolling. Julia makes the most salient observations on gender, politics and aging. Her animated impersonations are riotous. Her sarcasm and wit are razor sharp. Somehow tragic events from childhood feel casually optimistic. As much as the album is of THE TIMES, the humor is timeless. Whomever you are, whatever your background, if you love comedy, you owe it to yourself to experience a fully-funny individual. Julia Scotti is STELLAR!
Julia is a nationally headlining comedian at the ripe age of 63 who did the impossible and became a quarter-finalist and fan favorite on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent on NBC in 2016.. There she received standing ovations from the studio audience with her honest, fearless delivery, instantly winning the hearts of viewers everywhere, and joking her way into the quarter finals. Judge Howie Mandel said, “You have so much to offer; you are a JOY!” and a pleasantly surprised Simon Cowell exclaimed, “You genuinely made me laugh.”
“All of my comedy is based in truth.”
Drawn to comedy from the time she was a child –“Almost like a religious calling” – Julia holds NOTHING back. She has been described as a “Force of Nature,” “A cross between Sam Kinison and Mrs. Doubtfire,” like a “Chainsaw flying through the room.” Pulling her material from events and the world around her, she says, “If it weren’t for flaws in humanity, I wouldn’t have a job. I like to think people are coming out to my show to have a good time and learn something. It’s the BEST job on the planet. I’m like a reporter with laughs.” Julia claims, “There’s nothing like it. It’s better than sex. I’ve had sex and standing ovations… Standing ovations are better.” Young kids laugh at me because I’m like a crazy grandmother.” “Middle-age people say, I remind them of their grandmother and my age people say and it’s SO true what I say.”
Julia has appeared on numerous radio and television shows, commercials, and was named one of the Top Five Transgender Comedians in the country by Advocate Magazine in 2013 and got her start successfully touring both the United States and Canada as an opening act for comedians and entertainers and quickly became a headliner in comedy clubs.
Julia became the first transgendered woman to enter and progress onto being a finalist in the New York- based Ladies of Laughter Competition in 2014, and also performed at the Boston Comedy Festival, and was one of the winners of the Laughlin Laugh Festival in Nevada.
All remember Julia because her brand of comedy is Honest, Hilarious, Fearless, and Fierce.
